Born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Michael Cohen (24), is among the most prominent artists of Israel’s current Hip Hop scene. Mostly well known as 1 of the 2 MC’s in the fun lovin/golden era-ish’ Cohen@Mushon rap group, he also produces most of their beats, as well as lending productions to fellow local artists such as Lukach, Ortega and Peled (either by himself or together with Ori Sochat), and has remixed the likes of Axum, Radiotrip, Fishi Hagadol, Onili, Guy Mar and Dr. Kasper.

Heavily influenced by artists such as Madlib, J Dilla, Q-Tip, Karriem Riggins, Prince Paul, MF Doom and more, he’s been making beats ever since he illegally downloaded fruity loops at the age of 16. In 2008, Michael was chosen for the Red Bull Music Academy, taking place in Barcelona, where he collaborated with fellow participants such Fatima, Dorian Concept and Teebs, and has been expanding his musical palette ever since.
